Cornerstone Care is a non-profit network of Community Health Centers serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. Our mission is to improve the health of our patients and the residents of our community with special concern for the underserved. 
 
Founded 44 years ago by a small group of local citizens in Greensboro, PA, the first office was staffed by a nurse practitioner. Today we provide a full range of primary and preventative health care. We offer medical, dental, vision, psychiatry and counseling, chiropractic, podiatry, and family planning services on a sliding fee scale, based on a patient’s income and ability to pay. Our team of highly qualified physicians are committed to maintaining the highest standard of quality in every aspect of our practices. 
 
Our integrated care coordinators, community health workers, and insurance enrollment assisters work with people facing barriers to care to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare. Our locations include multi-service health centers in Greensboro, Mount Morris, and Burgettstown; a dental and counseling center in Waynesburg; a pediatric and family practice office in Washington, a pediatric office in Waynesburg, dental centers in Uniontown and West Mifflin, Vision Centers in Waynesburg, Hopwood, and Connellsville, as well as family practice offices in Rogersville and Clairton. We also operate a mobile medical and dental unit. Our Teaching Health Center in Mt. Morris, PA is a graduate medical education residency program for new doctors in a community-based setting that leads to board certification in family practice medicine. It is a unique partnership with the Monongalia General Hospital of Morgantown, WV, the Mountain State Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institution, and the Washington Health System.

Cornerstone Care employs 179 professional, administrative, and support staff. Our provider staff includes 19 Family Practice Physicians, 2 Pediatricians, 1 Chiropractor, 2 Podiatrists, 2 Physician Assistants, 7 Nurse Practitioners, 6 General Dentists, 1 Orthodontist, 8 Dental Hygienists, 2 Psychiatrists, and 5 Counselors.

The Smile for Life Oral Health Outreach Program provides mobile dental services to school districts, Head Start programs, childcare centers, and community programs in Allegheny, Greene, Washington, Fayette, and Westmoreland Counties, with a plan for expansion into northern West Virginia. We continue to expand the program each year adding additional schools, providing services regardless of a family's ability to pay. Mobile dental patients receive a dental exam, x-rays, prophylaxis, fluoride varnish, and if indicated, dental sealants. Restorative care is offered at all Cornerstone Care Dental Centers. 

In 2019, Cornerstone Care served 80,534 patients, involving 20,348 total patient visits. Cornerstone Care’s economic impact on the regional economy is over $16.5 million. We operate through a unique combination of fees for service, program income, public and private grants, and charitable contributions. We offer a sliding fee discount program for income-eligible patients, but no one is turned away for the lack of ability to pay. Most private and public insurance plans are accepted, including Medical Assistance and Medicare. New patients are always welcome. We offer evening appointments.
