This year's A Taste of Greene was a wonderful success and can't wait for next year! Without you, this event would not have been possible. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you again!
We also want to thank the restaurants - Brady's Roadhouse, Heritage Craft Butchers, Don Patrons Mexican Grill, Rachael Shultz, Kiln to Table, Piccolo's BBQ, Jam's Sweets, and Stoke General Store. Have you ever wondered which restaurant has the town’s best appetizers? What about Greene County’s best dessert? A Taste of Greene gives you the chance to decide for yourself.
Each Friday in May, you will receive a taste-off box that provides 4-6 (8oz) samples – designed for one person at $15.00 per kit per week – that are themed around a different course.
Each box will also include reheating instructions, a placemat, utensils, napkins, and a suggested wine pairing from Thistlethwaites’ vineyard. Pick-up times will be announced shortly.
And while we’re talking about Thistlethwaites’, if you stop by during the month of May and mention you are participating in A Taste of Greene, you will get a free wine tasting. :)
All participants should be ready to make their voices heard. Once a week, a survey will be emailed for you to vote for the tastiest dish. When all the votes are tallied, we will announce the winning restaurant on Greene County United Way’s Facebook page.
Sounds fun, right? We think so! And it gets better… each week, GCUW will be raffling off gift cards to the participating restaurants. And, even better…if you sign up for all four weeks, you get a $10 discount.
